Technology Trace Gives Hospital Staff More Time for Patient Care

BioNext client, Technology Trace, has partnered with St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton to deploy its Trevii tracking devices on hospital equipment like beds and stretchers. The small sensors use existing hospital WiFi infrastructure to pinpoint equipment locations in real time, helping porters and nurses find misplaced items in minutes rather than hours.
The pilot program — covering 600 beds — wrapped up with a 100% asset reconciliation rate, and the hospital is now looking to expand the technology to equipment like IV pumps. Technology Trace is also beginning to work with Mohawk Medbuy, one of Canada's largest group purchasing organizations, to bring Trevii to more hospitals across the country.
